"Hari Gempa Bumi"

"Hari Gempa Bumi"

Today's a Tuesday, so that means it's Earthquake Day @ Swensen's. Haha, yea.. 4 hours ago, i was at Swensen's w/ Aaron, Kirsty and Kwee. Haha...

Initially we were suppose to go to Hartamas to chill w/ the Klang gang minus KokPin (He's currently caged up at home by his so-called- tyrannic GIRLFRIEND???) but things didn't seem to go accordingly cause ChorYeow and Ghee wasn't feeling very well.

So yea, it was only the four of us so we didn't really want to head so far out to Hartamas. In the end, we went to Swensen's @ SS2. haha turned out i think it was better we were at Swensen's, at least.

Oh, and Kirsty speaks of a reservoir thats located at her ex-school (SMDU) and says it's pretty cool to go up there and watch fireworks from there. Heck as heard, it was even possible to see KL from there o_O oooh.....cool..but Aaron said it was freaking dangerous. But what the heck, let's live life adventurously :P

Anyways..word from Kwee that HELP starts at January 9tH! That leaves like less than 2 weeks to the start of uni! AiKZ...crap man, and i still haven't decided on where to go yet o_O i feel so sesat now...zZzZzZ

As for Monash, heard it's first intake is on the February 20th. Whoa..that leaves like another month to holiday for those enrolling there. Still quite chilling eh...hehe..

So yea..alot of things on my mind at the moment. In the afternoon...went Subang to follow my mom & sis to IDP and also to get a hair cut. After my hair cut as i was walking back towards IDP mana tahu of all ppl i have to run into Fabian pulak. haha..kononnya he gonna "do homework" @ Starbucks (It's open already. It's where MeeYokeLim used to be.)

haha try playing CS: Source w/ 4 human players vs 14 Bots.

"Merry Christmas"

"Merry Christmas"

to everybody and all the best to SAM students in their future undertakings. Make sure you keep track of your blessings :)
"The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." Psalm 126:3 NIV
I just got back Hartamas Square for a small Christmas celebration. Sigh i can really get pissed off at my mom...
Today...i told her i'm going out to Hartamas. Then she was like, fine..but if i sleep let her know. So, i'm like fine lor. No problems right?
WRONG
I didnt' plan to drive there, so Kwee agreed to give me a ride there. Then when Kwee came at approx. 11.00pm, i went up to my mom's room to tell her i'm leaving the house.
SHE'S SLEEPING. OHHHH...KAYYY........
So...i just said, in normal tone..normal volume level...
"Mom? Mummy ar? Mee ar? I'm leeeaaaaving the house...."
Mom, "ZzZzZzZzZzZ........."
Owwwhhhhhh kayyy......i was like nvm la...i'll just leave, guessing she might now even know that i left the house and came back coz she was sleeping kind of soundly....
As i put on my shoes...open the door...as i was approaching the car...
My mom shouted for me.....so yea..i went back to see what was it..she must've awaken due to the noise of the doors open and closing...guess she's a light sleeper...
Then..."JOSHUA I THOUGHT I TOLD U TO WAKE ME UP WHEN YOU'RE LEAVING"

Me: Yea, i did...i called you several times...you were still sleeping so i didn't bothered and let you sleep.
Mum: I DON'T CARE. YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO WAKE ME UP BLA BLA BLA*& B^@&*(#&*@#@*(#^&*(@#^@&*#^@*(#&#&@

Ok after that i temporarily made myself deaf. So i just walked out.
She's mad man. I don't really know what she wants nowadays. She's crazy.
Well my mom never cease to piss me off. I'm 18 years old. I still have a 12-1am curfew. Fine. I can live with that. BUT THIS? She's going overboard.
I'm gonna explode someday man. Right in her face. So much for a Christmas celebration.
Sometimes i tend to think my mom speaks w/ her mouth w/ her brains at her ass.

"Decisions, Decisions...Decisions.."

"Decisions, Decisions...Decisions.."

8 days in China made me miss home....ALOT. Aye now that i'm back home already, there're lot of things in mind at the moment.

  • SAM Results (Most prob. out this Wednesday, 21st Dec)
  • Look for a University ---> Important
  • Christmas' Eve
  • New Year's Eve
  • Langkawi TripS (notice the "S")

It may look like minor stuff, but i jz can't really make up my mind on alot of stuff..especially looking for a uni. Ppl have suggested stuff. I've talked to my cousins. Friends. Teachers (?) aye i might pay a visit to some counsellor to seek some advise. I've really no clue at all on my next step.

Christmas Eve? I don't know bout that. Not really sure whom i'm gonna spend that with. New Year's Eve? Big Question. No idea on that. I'd mentioned bout that here but i was told to keep that subject on a low profile.......so um..yea..sry. No spilling nuts o_O

Anyways..for the past few days after the trip, i've been

  • Sleeping...alot
  • Eating...not alot as i used too...weird...
  • Playing the PS2 - I'm now trying to complete the entire RE4 game (Resident Evil 4) including mini-games and etc. etc.
  • Dota-ing..as usual - but now even after a game of DotA i feel super sien man...i can't believe how the MG keep up w/ their DotA sessions. zZz...
  • Trying to keep in touch w/ my friends; have alot of catching up to do - I'm sorta confused here somehow.
  • Keep myself in shape...zZzZ

Yeap. That's it for now. Oh yea...bout the accident that my mom got in from the previous post. It seems that the lady who knocked her somehow managed to shift the blame over to my mom.

W-H-A-T - T-H-E - H-E-L-L

She knocked my mom man. Now she made a police report saying my mom HIT her..and now the police is by her side. If my mom wants to continue fighitng for the right on who's wrong and who's right she needs to settle it in a court. I sense corruption....

The stupid lady. I can't believe she would even go this far. Lying to the police, shifting the blame. It so gets on my nerves that even people would even try to attempt this kind of stunt.

Morons.

My mom can't lose this battle. She's on the truth side. She has to win. Guess this'll take up to court.

"Home Coming"

"Home Coming"

Feel's good to be back home. A week in China together w/ the Liew family was an experience. We had fun. We went through the harsh weather together. Some of us suffered food poisoning -.-; Everything went smoothly. No regrets. The trip was a success :)

Day 1 - 10th December 2005, Saturday

  • Assembled at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
  • Met up w/ tour manager that will be w/ us throughout the entire journey.
  • Depart for Shanghai at 0930 hours. Estimated time arrival at Pudong Airport, Shanghai at 1430 hours.
  • On arrival, meet & greet by local tour guide.
  • Transfer to Hotel for check in.
  • Free at leisure.
  • Dinner.
  • Proceed to night orientation: The Bund; some sort of walkway by the river. One can get a beautiful view of the city from here.

The view.

Day 2 - 11th December 2005, Sunday.

  • Breakfast buffet at hotel.
  • Transfer to Zhujiajiao by coach. Journey took approximately 1 and a half hours.
  • Tour to the water village of Zhujiajiao; an ancient city located on the banks of Dianshan Lake, at the foot of Dianshan Hill. After more than one thousand years, Ming & Qing dynasty still stand, and 36 ancient stone bridges cross the canal that runs through the center of town. Places of historical interest and scenic beauty surrounds the occupants of the town. Went for boat ride on the canal.

The river.

  • Lunch.
  • Transfer back to Shanghai.
  • Also, visit to Yu Yuan Garden & Chenghuan Temple.
  • Dinner.
  • Night entertainment: Acrobatic Show; The show was quite a dissapointment. Nothing impressive, and a few minor flaws occured during the performance. The performers didn't look very professional.

Day 3 - 12th December, Monday

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Morning shopping at Huai Hai Ru & Xiang-Yang flea-market.
  • Transfer to Hangzhou. Journey took approximately 3 and a half hours.
  • Upon arrival, proceeded to hotel for check in.
  • Free at leisure.
  • Dinner; After dinner we went to some nightspot in the city. It was supposedly considered the "western" part of the city. This is where the night life is. Guess China ain't so dead at night after all.

Woopeedooo...spotted this in front of the hotel!

Strangely it doesn't have any number plate.

Day 4 - 13th December 2005, Tuesday

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • A scenic boat ride through the West Lake. The West Lake is undoubtedly the msot renowned feature of Hangzhou, noted for the scenic beauty that blends naturally with many famous historical and cultural sites.

Me on the boat ride.
Me and some temple in the background.
  • Visit to Longjing. A tea plantation.
  • Lunch.
  • Sighseeing of Hangzhou - The Tomb of Yue Fei; This large memorial with a statue was erected to commemmorate the rightfullness & bravery of a Song General, Yue Fei.

A dead wasp i spotted at the memorial site. Look at the size of it! The thing's a monster! It's actually bigger in real life..i find it small in the photo. The hand is there for comparison :P

  • Diner.
  • Night entertainment: Song Cheng; this performance like all cultural performances, are kind of lame....

Day 5 - 14th December 2005, Wednesday

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Proceed to airport for flight to Canton and then a connecting flight to Meizhou.
  • Arrival at Canton airport.
  • Early lunch at Canton airport. Had dim sum. Mmm....
  • Proceed to domestic airport for departure flight to Meizhou.
  • Upon arrival, proceed to hotel for check-in.
  • Free at leisure.
  • Dinner.

Day 6 - 15th December 2005, Thursday

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Ancestors visit; This is probably and likeliest the longest day of the trip. Our secondary objective of the trip is to actually meet up w/ our long lost relatives. So happens my grandfather homeground is actually in China, and that's where he really lives, along w/ his parents and siblings. We had to meet up w/ his sister and her family (including grandsons and all). All in all she had a big family. Also so happens her son is a high ranking officer for the government. zZzZz...biggie deal. Anyway so we had to visit this village where some of the long lost relatives stay.

Nice view of the mountain from the village.

This is one of the houses. It's really old and run-down.

The experience in the village really gave me a taste of whats being LUCKY. One could ever wonder how these ppl live in these villages. It's dirty, dusty, disgusting, cold, and far away from civilisation. I'm so lucky. I'm glad.

Day 7 - 16th December 2005, Friday

  • Breakfast at hotel together w/ long lost relatives.
  • Morning orientation - Thousand - Buddha Pagoda
  • Lunch.
  • Transfer to airport for departure flight to Canton.
  • On arrival, meet & greet by local tour guide.
  • Dinner.
  • Transfer to Hotel for check in; Phew, back to civilisation. Glad the city here is very alive at night. Very HongKong-ish. You can come out and have supper at 2 in the morning and u can still find stalls packed w/ people. Oh yea, pirated DVD's are super dirt cheap here. They're sold for 5 YUAN only! For you infor exchange rate of CHina money to M'sia money is halved. So that means 5 YUAN is RM2.50.

Day 8 - 17th December 2005, Saturday

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Check out.
  • Proceed to Canton city tour & Dr. Sun Yat Sen's Memorial Hall; Slight change of plan here. The ladies of the family all decided to shop! =.=; Those who didn't feel like shopping proceeded for the initial plan. Well, the city does look enticing and lively, and i could use some new stuff at home so why not? I headed for the shopping group..ahaha
  • Lunch.
  • Transfer to airport for homebound flight. Flight at 1505 hours. Estimated time arival 1900 hours.

Well that's that. Actually touched down safely at around 6.30pm. Anyways here are some photos i took for the readers' sake :)

Enjoy :)

"How Long Was It?"

"How Long Was It?"

336 days (10 months). Remember our first semester? Yea...was bored, so i looked through some of the photos we've (K3) taken throughout the year, and yea, found alot of photos that i nvr realised i even took it! So here are some of em' (obviously i can't post all of em') Yea...look out for the RARE photo...and tell me what's so RARE about it. Enjoy :)

Was one of the first IT presentation we had.

Uh...some vandalism i found behind one of the benches in one of the lecture hall. I think it was LT7; where we had our Malaysian studies(history one)

This is Kwee (left) and Patrick (right) during the early semesters. Whoa check out Patrick's hair! HAHA...

This is Hein Hoong. Remember him?

Hmm...

Having our Malaysian studies (history) @ LT2

Oooh..

Hmm...??

Clockwise left to right: John, Shearen, HuiSha, Krya, YeanTheng, HorPooi and Jessie

One of our first IT power point presentation. Many thanks to Euric for the picture.

This is what we intially thought of Taylors, but yea..in the end...it felt different.

Yeap, those were the days. Long gone, over, but not forgotten. I'll try and post more of these lost photos as i find them. Anyhow...to all K3 buddies out there..take care y'all. Keep in touch.

"Scathed"

"Scathed"

Finally. It happened again. My mom met her 2nd accident. At least it wasn't as bad as the first. Unlike the first, she wasn't the cause of the accident.

According to my mum, a KIA Sepia clashed on the passenger door on the right side of the car as she was turning right.

Y'see, it was on a 3-laned road. All lanes had to turn right except for the lane on the left (which had the choice of going straight or turning right), that was the rule of that road. So, my mum happened to be on the left lane, and she wanted to turn right. However, this lady driver (KIA Sepia), was on the middle lane, and she wanted to go straight. As they both accelerated at the same time, both could not stop in time as they came in and collided w/ each other.

Here's a diagram i drew in case some of you might not understand. (I think my explanation sucks o_O)

Bah...so my mum got really pissed. What a morning to start her day with. Now for the troublesome part. She has to claim insurance, settle a few documents, head to the official workshop of Mercedes, get some cash from the lady who caused all these.

Anyway, the workshop could not start work on the car yet, as most of the documents hadn't been settled yet. So yea, my mum brought the car home first. They plan to replaced the entire door (The motor for the winding window of the passenger door is damaged). Damn. That has to cost alot. Oh well, insurance will cover it.

Anyways, here are photos. The damage done isn't what i expected. I expected it to be much worse. Only obvious scratches to the car door, and a slight dent to it.

Can you see the dent? It's very slight.

You can see the car door "going-in" at the bottom.

A more clearer shot of the damage done.

Can see it clearer?

Photo w/o flash.

See the dent?

Anyway that's all for now. Stomache's feeling better. Much better.

"The Awesome"

"The Awesome"
Check my song player for the Awesome God. I finally managed to obtain the original version of the song which is performed by DC Talk. The song performed by United Live is just a repeat of the chorus throughout the entire song without the verse. Listen to the song w/ reading the post :)
"Awesome God" was a popular worship song in America during the late 1980s. It was written by Rich Mullins who died in a car accident in 1997, and is considered one of his best. Many Christian bands have performed "cover" versions in various styles, from ska to swing to straight rock and traditional worship style. Its lyrics are simple, clear and repetitive to emphasise its description of the nature of the Christian God;
  • Powerful
  • Righteous
  • Truthful
  • Judgemental, yet Merciful
  • Holy
  • Awesome
  • Someone that can save you from something that you cannot hide from

More obliquely, it refers to God;

  • becoming man and being crucified
  • creating the world
  • and saving you
Awesome God
When He rolls up His sleeves
He ain't just putting on the ritz
There's thunder in His footsteps
And lightning in His fists
The Lord wasn't joking
When He kicked 'em out of Eden
It wasn't for no reason
That He shed His blood
His return is very close
And so you better be believing that
Our God is an awesome God

Our God is an awesome God
He reigns from heaven above
With wisdom, power, and love
Our God is an awesome God

And when the sky was starless
In the void of the night (God is an awesome God)
He spoke into the darkness
And created the light (God is an awesome God)
Judgement and wrath He poured out on Sodom
Mercy and grace He gave us at the cross
I hope that we have not
Too quickly forgotten that
Our God is an awesome God

Our God is an awesome God
He reigns from heaven above
With wisdom, power, and love
Our God is an awesome God

Our God is an awesome God
He reigns from heaven above
With wisdom, power, and love
Our God is an awesome God

Our God is an awesome God (Our God is an awesome God)
He reigns from heaven above
With wisdom, power, and love
Our God is an awesome God
Our God is an awesome God (Our God is an awesome God)
He reigns from heaven above (He reigns)
With wisdom, power, and love (With wisdom and power)
God is an awesome God
Our God is an awesome God
Our God is an awesome God

"That's That"

"That's That"

I can't help but think on back on all the days.

Our college days. Our faithful D20. Every Monday morning blues, where we'd have to face Ms.Susan Ong. Haha...Ghee always looks forward to Monday mornings. HAHAHA...our IT lab classes. Where while lecture goes on half of the class will be @ friendster/teagames/fantasyfootball/anything but anything to do with the lecture. Hahz. How bout the breaks we have @ AsiaKafe. Despite numerous times that all of us complained that we were sick of th place, we still continue, faithfully, eat at that *aheM* cursed place :)

How bout every Friday after college activities? A movie at 1u? Inferno sessions? Silver? haha..anywhere but homE!

Sigh. It feels like it has been months away since our last final paper, but heck, it was over only last weeK!

I remember that day so clearly. We were all so looking forward to the end of the a/c paper. The minute it was over, we were like; "Ok, papers are over. We're free. What NOW?"

Yeap. We didn't know what to do. We were like...blank. I can remember our PEI faces at the Canai Kafe.

YES.

PEI.

We felt as if there was nothing to be happy about tho we were just freed from the SAM course. Prom was the following day. Guess we only looked forward to that...

and that's over. And so is ChorYeow's BBQ Party.

Guess that's that.

Anyways....on to today's activities.

Went KLCC w/ Kwee and CK to look for Denny's birthday present and RJ's farewell gift. RJ will be leaving on this coming Sunday @ 9.45am. He has to be at the airport by 9.00am. Don't think i'll be saying goodbye to him. Gotta wake up kinda early if i want to send him off o_O

Oh yea, also visited the Pikom PC Fair at the convention centre. Lotsa kewl stuff there.

After getting the gifts, we decided to have our dinner at KLCC. After dinner...comes the long part of the day (at least, it seems like the longest).

We nearly got lost in KL. Kwee was driving. Haha...we kept going round and round and kept seeing the same landmarks over and over again till we sat in the car for at least an hour or so?

Finally, we managed to exit KL (remember the Pudu Jail). Reached home at nearly 10.00pm.

Btw a shout out to K3-ians.

We are planning on a trip to

  • Kuala Selangor (see fire flies, eat seafood...;sounds boring but it isn't!)
  • Genting (day trip)
  • Langkawi (happens only during January most prob)

Keep in mind that the Langkawi trip is only an idea so far, it isn't a plan yet. So don't keep your hopes high on it. Might not even happen at all. Just an idea...so yea....keep your fingers crossed.

And for the Genting trip - We actually planned to go today (Friday, 2nd November 2005) to surprise CheeHong (Patrick) cause @ BS3 i jokingly told him we were going to go to Genting and find him (He has a trip there w/ his former school mates).

That's all. Keep in touch fellow K3's.

Holidays are finally here. Our well-deserved and long-awaited break. Everybody's happy. Overjoyed.

Me?

No. Guess there ain't much differences for me.

Despite numerous smses i've sent over to the MG if there's any night-session of DotA-ing, i get no response DESPITE countless times, at home, in front of my PC, i SEE ALL OF THEM SIMUTANEOUSLY COMING UP ONLINE ON MSN WITH A DEFAULT PIC OF A CHESS/ SKATEBOARDER/ROCKET OR WHAT-SO-EVER.

Am i really that being ignored?

I guess i am.
