Greetings!

Management Information Systems class was the bomb today!

My first 2-hour lecture for MIS is held at the Old Arts centre, and as i arrived there, i saw hordes of students in front of the lecture hall entrance. So i thought to myself, ok la not bad la got alot of people who also choose MIS.

At the 11am mark (thats when my lecture starts) everyone started moving.... to another lecture theatre! =\ okla maybe my fault also shouldn't assume that all those students would be taking MIS. So i entered my lecture hall and...


There were only 9 students ....

Only 9 of us for the subject this semester! Thats like really really sad! :(

But anyway i think MIS is going to be a fine subject since some of the topics are similiar to last year's VU ISB subject. The main reason I took MIS because its a pre-requisite subject for E-Commerce on my final year. So yea..there i was, 9 people in the lecture theatre including me. Plus lecturer = 10 people in the small theatre.

Lecture lasted for 2 hours, and i went back to my place after that.

At night after dinner, i headed to the Victoria night market for the second time to meet up w/ YuYee, AhFai and KwanChian.

Was good to see some familiar faces back again. Was suppose to get a ride back home but YuYee too paiseh to ask her friend to send me back :(

Oh well, doesn't matter already. I'm back home safely already, in front of my pc :)

"Melbourne III."

Greetings,

It's been the 2nd week for me here in Melbourne. I think i can get used to things here :) Today in the afternoon was abit hot, not as cold as the day before. Headed to uni today for gym and later class at 1pm local time.

First class at Melbourne University is...at the law building. Which is sorta located outside the campus just as to how Taylor's Business School is to Taylor's College SJ but further. Getting around from class to class is a whole lot different than in Sunway or Taylors :S Running from one end to another is not fun. Imagine during summer =\

After class, headed to Bourke street to finally get internet access. All this while i've been tapping into my neighbour's wifi and sometimes it goes on and off so its kinda unstable. It wasn't really a secured internet connection. So now i'm finally getting one :)

On the way to the place, i saw something that i don't get to see everday -

Its a Friday night!

And i'm here blogging :(

My housemate left me to stay in his girlfriend's place and now i'm alone :(

Greetings from Melbourne!

I finally arrived here in Melbourne 2 days ago. This' what happened for the past days ever since i left home.


Day 1

- Arrived at KLIA at approximately 7.50am.
- Met up w/ Kwee, Jia, and Syamir.
- Farewell.
- Departed at approximately 10.10am.
- During flight, watched The Guardian, The Host, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
- Arrived in Aussie at approximately 8.30pm.
- Headed for my apartment; La Trobe House.
- Met up w/ housemates JaySen and temporary housemate Guju.
- Had dinner w/ family.
- Returned to my place, unpack.
- Went out w/ JaySen and Guju for bubble tea :S
- Came back, DotA-ed, then slept at approx. 4am Aussie time.

The first night was definitely a night to remember. I plugged in my laptop power plug into the power supply and next thing i know the plug blew up.

Lucky my laptop's power plug was still functioning. I don't think this power supply works anymore.

Day 2

- Visited University of Melbourne in the morning.
- Place was like a friggin' theme park with orientation week going on.
- Place is huge.
- Went shopping for household stuff.
- Watched Ghost Rider after dinner w/ Jaysen, Nicola, Guju, Ernest and JaySen's high school friends.

Day 3

- Headed for University of Melbourne again.
- Enquire about subjects enrollment.
- Went back to shop for more household stuff.
- Got my Aussie number and a new Nokia 6288.

- Had dinner at Victoria Market.
- Returned to crib.
- Went out for bubble tea w/ Jaysen and Guju.
- Chilled at the State Library (?)

- Finally enrolled my subjects and now awaiting approval.
- Went down to Smith Street w/ family.
- Napped when return.
- Went to Lygon Street for Italian dinner.
- Returned to crib.

Goodbye, Home.

I'm leaving in 6 hours time. I feel so heartsunk now :(

I can't believe its finally arrived. Time to leave. So soon.

"Time Heals."

So, what does it feel to know that i'm leaving home grounds till the next 4-5 months?

Well, i don't know. I get all sorts of mixed feelings now. For now, i just want do what i can within my power here at home before i leave. A new chapter. A whole new life. In just less than 30 hours time.

I'm going to miss everything back here. Heck i'm starting to miss everything already.

Strider managed to finally pass me paintball photos. He was reluctant to send me the photos via MSN or email cause streamyx has always been a bitch. He came over to my hse and passed them to me via thumbdrive. Lol. At least there’s still some sense of efficiency.

Anyway;

Last Wednesday was quite an enjoyable night. Headed to Klang w/ host GheeJune and ChorYeow whom brought us to this restaurant called Boston at supper time.

This restaurant is proudly known for its famous steamed lala and hokkien mee and some special butter-mantis prawn w/ nestum. I wonder if I got those right =\ Its kinda very popular place to eat in Klang but somehow also Klang resident KokPin seems to be oblivious about it =\ Speaking of KokPin, I (we) were rather surprised to see him showing up that night. He even brought along his warden! Wow. So rare.

Halfway eating in Boston, Joe’s metro buddies came just to see him. Awww. Along came Tim, Sean and one-more-guy-whose-name-i-forgot-or-don’t-know =\ They just showed up for awhile and then left in Sean’s Unser.

After supper, we headed to Ghee’s place and played this stupid card game. Doesn’t require any brain work. We chilled in his place for awhile till somewhere around 2-3am and then headed for a drink at one of the mamak nearby. Oh, and just next door to the mamak is a 24-hour cybercafé. What else did we do after that =] Whatever we did, we did it till 5.30am. Lol. Oh well, it’s been a long time since I did something dumb as that =]

All of us crashed at ChorYeow’s place after that except Ghee who went home since he stays nearby. Only went to bed at 6am+. That’s why I don’t really favor sleepovers. I never get enough sleep =\ Since all the sofas were taken I was forced to sleep on the floor =( at least it was carpeted, though. Woke up at 1pm+ on the same day. Went for bah kut as our first meal of the day. Good stuff.

And that pretty sums up everything on that day =] I went home dead tired that day and Patrick had to drive home w/o any contacts/specs =] haha. Damn dangerous tho since he needs contacts/specs to actually SEE!! HAHA. Well, I saw him come online on msn later after he left so that means he didn’t die or something.

Anyway, this is so long overdued -




Friday, 19th January 2007 -

Paintball – oh yes, there will be blood =]

The long awaited and overpriced paintball session. Oh yes, the bloodshed as Joe quoted =]. In the morning I had to send Bee to her friend’s house in Sri Petaling before meeting up w/ the rest. Why la all her friends had to stay so far away from each other =\

Met up w/ Kwee and Patrick at Subang. Met them at the road after SJMC along Sheraton Hotel and towards Holiday Villa to be exact =) We’re suppose to wait for John so that we all could go bersama-sama. Was rather a long wait.

Finally John arrived with some of his other Monash buddies. We had lunch at the mamak nearby before the bloodshed.
