"Starbucks less Bucks?"

"Starbucks less Bucks?"

Greetings,

Saturday night - finally. I attended this Nite Gig thing at Starbucks @ Taipan. SubangJaya.

It's a charity performance organized by the ICPU people from Taylor's. Several bands came to perform in this charity thing including local band Altered Frequency - click HERE to go to their site.

Anyway, my friend Joe was suppose to perform as well. So, i came with -

Kwee..

Eh..look there la.

Take proper pic mah. Kirsty on the left..and as usual, Kirsty comes in a one-for-the-price-of-two package.

Ini dia Aaron..

This' taken by Kirsty, trying to be vulgar..

- and also many more that i haven't their photos.

Anyhow, we waited for Joe and his band to complete their performance so that we can have dinner at Pizza Uno.

This charity performance by several bands were actually really..just for fun. As quoted Joe, these bands just come up here and play just to 'syok sendiri'. Hehe..and i thought at first it was some competition or something.

The band above played a variation of Creed's "With Arms Wide Open". They're not bad.

There were good ones...and really really noisy ones. I duno la - i can't believe they even called those stuff music. Your typical "rock" band.

Joe's band - lead and accoustics by Joe's coursemantes and Marc on bass.

Overall they were one of the better performers. Instead of the usual loud noisy so-called "rock" music, they played something different. They started off with The Calling's "Wherever You Will Go". After listening to so much loud music, listening to that piece by The Calling was so much soothing to the ears. Finally some actual real music.

After the performance we headed to Pizza Uno for dinner. I even met my aunt and uncle there man -__-". They were having supper while we were having our dinner. Haha..go figure :)

At Pizza Uno - Taipan.

Dinner's over - it's only 10.30pm. Hehs..all agreed to proceed to Asia Kafe.

Remember the performance at Starbucks? Apparently the management there didn't have a proper permit to host a live performance. Somehow, MPSJ got hold of news that a live performance was held there and maybe it made too much noise or something - so..they got there, and sapu-ed everything. GG.

Lucky Joe's band left the scene much earlier. I don't know but the othjer bands, but the rented equipments were all confiscated by the MPSJ. Everybody was kinda sesat - it was quite unexpected. The management sure kena man. GG.

Well, not really any of my business actually. Hehs..maybe a competitor of Starbucks got envious of the crowd its attracting and therefore notified the MPSJ. Then ngam-ngam they didn't have a permit to host live performances in the place. So GG lor.

Anyway..i'm home, tired, and it's time for some shut eye.

Oh btw..

Happy Birthday, Joe Hock - Yes, he is special.

- Joe Hock turns 19 on Sunday, 23rd April 2006. Many wishes and blessings for the special guy who just turned 19.

- take care and God bless, everyone,

- tsencai.
