"Awan's Seven-in-One - Part II"

"Awan's Seven-in-One - Part II"

Continued from previous post @ Awan's Seven-in-One - Part I

Now that the first 4 swords are assembled the base sword can be put into the 5th and final stage (Phase 3 assembly). In this phase the base blade is complete closed, so in essence it’s the same as the 3rd phase. Now what this closing of the base blade does is 1.) It locks the impact sword and the 3rd and 4th blades together (red) and 2.) Now permits the 2 switch blades to be placed in the assembly:

Here you can see that the blade for the impact and the 3rd and 4th swords connect seamlessly. This also points out more accurately how the tips for the 3rd and 4th swords are shaped:

The Switch Blades (5th and 6th swords)

The switch blades are also identical to one another and are the smallest of all the other swords. They are also the only 2 swords whose handles flip up before being assembled (hence, switch blades). Now there is a lot of complications and mysteries surrounding these blades. The first one being that the assembly of the 5th sword is almost impossible to spot but after reviewing the footage over and over again I’ve finally found where it occurs.

First of all, this is the 5th sword (red) and the 6th is still in Fenrir.

You have to really pay attention to see the assembly of the 5th. It occurs just after Cloud throws Loz off his bike in the tunnel. Here you can see there is no switch blade on the main sword on this side (red), plus a piece of the 5th sword sticking out behind Cloud (yellow). This is a screen just as Loz is jumping off his bike onto Clouds.

Here we can see there is also no switch blade on the other side of the main sword (red). I know it’s hard to see but play back your own copy in slow motion here and you’ll see for yourself.

Now look really closely at Cloud here. This is just as he has thrown Loz into the air. You can see the main sword on his right (red) and the 5th sword in his left (green). It is at that moment when Loz is landing back on his bike and Yazoo is shooting at Cloud that Cloud assembles the 5th sword and takes the 6th out of Fenrir.

Here is the 6th (red) and the 5th sword in the main sword assembly (yellow).

Here I’m just showing how the switch blades pivot. Notice the pivot point (red). The handle will swing in (yellow) when it is being assembled.

Here is nice screenshot of how one of the switch blades looks in the assembly. Do notice the how the handle has flipped up on the 5th sword in the assembly (green):

Here is the 6th sword being assembled during the tunnel battle (red):

The assembly for the switch blades is not very complicated. All it requires his for Cloud to close the handle (red) and slide the blade into place (green). I should point out that the 5th and 6th blades at NOT interchangeable. By that I mean, there is one made for the left side of the sword and one made for the right. Same applies for the 3rd and 4th swords:

So now you know how all 6 swords work in Cloud’s assembly. I have to admit it was pure genius of them to make his sword in such a way. It made the final moments with Sephiroth very interesting to say the least.

Finally..done. Long post and difficult post even though its a copy-paste thing. O_o

"Finale"

"Finale"

Greetings faithful reader(s),

I apologize for the late and lagging update. My router died a few days ago and i had to head all the way to Low Yat @ KL just to get a replacement. bah...well i'm finally back online, and it's time for an update :)

Things to do after SAM exam.

  • Jam wt Band K3 - 23rd November 2005
  • SAM Corroborree - 23rd November 2005
  • Chor Yeow's BBQ Party - 24th November 2005
  • Send John Off - 25th November 2005

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Band K3 - 23rd Novermber 2005

It was in the late morning when Joe called me and said he wanna jam in the afternoon around 2.00pm. Being bored and lonely at home, like i usually am, i agreed lor. Called the Bassist and Patrick. Both agreed. Full band was summoned. Finally!! So i head to Subang picked John up, and then met Joe at Taylor's.

Me hungry, as usual...so Joe brought us to this coffee shop where they served good beef noodles. hmm.. yea, it tasted good. o_O

We then head over back to Taylor's and searched for a jamming place. We went to our usual place, it was CLOSED. Fine, so we went to one near Melur. It was CLOSED too, permanently.

In the end we went to this place nearby the WarNet kafe (also closed down; everything seems to be shutting down at the end of the year o_O). Finally got our long awaited chance to play some music. We played from around 3pm to 4.30pm. GG.

Jam w/ Band K3 - checked, GG.

SAM CORROBOREE 2005 - 23rd November 2005

Prom day came so fasT! it felt like i was just doing my ESL paper and then...it came, SAM Prom 2005. Time passes really, really fast.

After the jamming session i went home straight to get ready for the final gathering of SAM - The SAM Corroboree 2005.

It would be my second time there. I went there a year ago for last year's prom.

I went home, got ready, and head back to Taylor's. Yea, went up and down for the day o_O. But when i reached Taylor's i got something very unexpected that i've never anticipated due to all the rush...

A massive jam before Sunway Resort.

Traffic was moving super slow man, i nearly lost my cool. Hahz..but anyways i finally did make it to the venue.

Before this ChinLeong (proud owner of a Mitsubishi Evo8 and a Porsche 911 Carrera - WTFBBQ) already warned me about the oncoming jam and told me to called him and meet him at the lobby when i'm there.

I didn't o_O AHHAA....sorry ar. All the rush made me forget things.. eh..hehe...hehe.. :D

When i got there..i called John.

Me: John, where you ppl now?
John: We're all at the toilet.
Me: ............... wottt???
John: Yea, come meet us there.
Me: .......

Alright, that didn't sound right. Heck i still went to the toilet and look for them. and yea, they were ALL in there. John, Aaron, Billy, Jerry and Patrick were all adjusting their suit and so wtv...hahz U ALL LOOK HANDSOME DI LAARRR......haijor..Then not too soon Joe joined us at the bathroom -.-;

Finally when all is done, we headed for the ballroom. Had to register by the counter if you wanna head INTO the ballroom. That's why we're told to bring our ID cards..zZzZzZ

Even better was...Aaron successfully managed to smuggle Kirsty in!

SAM Corroboree - Only allows paying SAM ppl in.
Kirsty - A-Level's student.

So basically Kirsty can't get in unless she's prepared to fool the SAM lecturers to let her in.

Yep, she did it. A job well done to that :)

She manage to get it without even being suspected. GJ!

So, we got in. Went to our tables, sat down, and bla bla bla...
Talked, eat, took photos, ALOT of photos. Haha.. the first hour of the evening went on fine. After that everybody was just standing up, walking around doing their own stuff. There was even once where there was this violin duet performance, where everybody was still all standing doing their own stuff and then the emcee had to come up on stage and told everybody to sit down and respect the performers. AHAHA

Y'know wat, i didn't even knwo there was a violin duet performance o_O What was i doing ar? hmmm...

But i did notice the performance by our very own SAM lecturers! They had to perform an Indian song together w/ some Indian music as soon as the music starts. Whoa, the lecturer's were extremely sporting. They gave it all when they came upon the stage! That performance was really something. i was really awed by their enthusiasm to go on stage. hmm.. mebbe the teachers have their own..um...darker side? hmm......

After the dance there was a performance by S9 (Denny, Vincent and HengTeng) and a guitarist import from S5 (WheiJin). Their performance was one of the better ones. They played a song by Lifehouse.

From there on, i didn't really care what happened on the stage. The K3 ppl just did our own stuff, taking photos, eating, talking, totally ignoring whats going on up on the stage. Heck, i even dunno who was the prom King and Queen! Oh yea, prom Queen = Alison .ahah :)

Oh wait! i remembered the opening dance performance! it was by some girl by the name of Emily. Whoa, she can really sing man...i heard she went for some Malaysian Idol thingy. ahaha..after her performance everybody was invited into the dance floor to groove to the music. Well since i dun groove and move too well, i just went and sat at the table...PEI......zZzZz...oh yea, Joe pei-ed w/ me...zZzZzZzZz....
Well, time for the photos;
Enjoy :)

I'll post more photos when i get them. Stupid camera; button came off when i took it out o_O. So i didn't take any photos. Had to use other ppl's camera. Aisey...wasted...

After the event at around 12.00am+, we wennt hunting for a place to drink. We tried Starbucks @ Pyramid. Closed. We tried Coffee Bean. Closed. We tried this, that, all closed. In the end, we went to this Hello Kafe which was surprisingly still open. The price even surprised us more.

Apple Juice/Soft Drinks/Beer = 8 FRIGGIN' BUCKS wah gg liaw my wallet..

but at that point whjere we were all yearning for a drink, i couldn't care less bout the price man. i was freaking thirsty.

There was also this band in the Hello Kafe performing. I guess it was weird for them to see a bunch of ppl walk into a kafe at that hour all dressed up in suits and gowns coz they started playing a song for uS! chinese songs..that is. they were like (in chinese) "let's play a song for those young ppl all dressed up over there". Haha... i don't even know the title of the songs, but yea, they were good. Oh yea i remember one! Qing Tian by Jay CHou! ahaha and one more..some song wt a nice tune to it...hmmm..

at around 1.00am + we headed home. Dropped some friends home........and that's that. end of the day.

Overall the SAM prom was one heck of an event. A sure night to remember. It was an experience. Something i wouldn't forget :)

SAM Corroboree - been there. done that. GG

"Accounts and the end of It"

"Accounts, the Final Count and the end of It"

Tomorrow, at exactly 1140 hours, the 22nd of November 2005, will be start of SSABSA's accounting paper and the end of It, SAM. The one year course will finally come to an end, at least for us accounting students; the rest are already done. o_O

Accounting Studies ain't my best and strongest subject either. It's my WEAKEST! i really suck at it. I can't do accountS! i'm not made for it!

Trial Balance. Balance Sheet. Monetary. Duality. Legal Entity. Statement of Financial Performance. Statement of Financial Position. Statement of Cash Flows. Profit and Loss Statement. General Journal. Bank Reconciliation. Depreciation. Perpetual Inventroy. FIFO. WTF@#*(&@#&@*(@&#(*@# THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME TO ME!!!

Walamak I CONFIRM GG EDI LIAW FOR THIS FRICKEN EXAM. Account's ain't a subject made for me. It has been proven so well over the year. Yea. Accounts GG liaw. Speaking of this "GG" ...

Most you readers might be thinking; "what is this GG?? Why is it used so often especially in games during chat or msging?"

Well, for a few laughs;

Obtained for GG site. Enjoy :)

"some may wonder wtf is gg can see all use gg here gg there wtf is that...gg got lotta meaning but here it is an acronym for "good game"for gg and also mg, we use gg for allota things eg:i swim, i see big wave coming, i look at it and say "shit gg loh"Sam sees his friend bring girlfriend to his ex's party so he says "that fucker gg edi lah"i walk alone in dark road if i lucky i see ghost but if i not lucky i is confirm GG.i noob driver i skid i everything goes blur but i see i heading for tree and since i no time say "so fucking gg loh 200kmph hit tree shit also fly out lah" i terpaksa shout and i go "GG!!!!!!!!!!!!"

:) since this widely used acronym is already understood by the time you're reading this sentence, i shall now try to imply the idea of GG into my current situation.

GG Accounts. Accounts GG. Which one?

Ok, there are two different meanings depending on where the GG is placed in the sentence. Mostly it is placed before or after a noun or a name.

GG Accounts: GG accountS! this is where i find the accounting exam so dead simple and easy i can do the exam with my eyes closed. Haha, this statement can only be used by the Accounting Gods of K3: Ghee and Jerry.
So basically, the accounts is GG-ed by the user of the statement.

Accounts GG: Accounts GG LIAWW! OMGWTF BBQ@(#&@*#&(#@## SHIT THIS IS WHERE I COME IN. I KNOW NUTS ABOUT THE EXAM AND I DUNNO WHAT I'M READING DURING THE EXAM SESSION SO I JUST SIMPLY CINCAI BOCAI WRITE/SCRIBBLE/CONTENG STUUFF ONTO THE WHITE THIN RECTANGULAR BASE YOU CALL A PAPER AND I JUST AIYA SCREW THIS I WANNA END ACCOUNTING PAPER SO I CAN JUST CHOU SINCE IM ALREADY GG-ED LIAW. Reversely, the accounts paper GG-ED the user of the statement instead of the other way round. GG INDEED.

so i hope you fully get the idea and concept of "GG". Let's make this versatile and useful initials in our everyday lives and spread the word of GG. So today, go to someone and say, "GG!!"

:)

Hahz, i can't barely wait. the anxiety is all over me. I can't wait for the paper to end. 1440 hours. I'm looking forward to that. At the same time, i think it's kinda sad.

Coz after the accounting paper,

i'll never get to sit in a classroom wt my fellow K3 classmates ever again.
No more sitting in D20.
No more studying together wt my K3 buddies.

haihz.. i think after the accounts paper i'll just take a walk over to D20 to have a final good look on that class.

Anyways, tmr will come very soon. 2.40pm will also come very soon. Not to mention Christmas eve :)

By the time we know it, we'll all be drunk w/ our long-awaited, well-deserved freedom.

and not to forget by the time we know it, we'll all be super-sien and bored with our long-term freedom. o_O

"Awan"

"Awan"

Hmm...i got this random thought bout the CGI animated film: Final Fantasy: Advent Children. Always ever wondereD? about Cloud's trademark weapon, his oversized sword?

Yea, it was different in the Advent Children movie. It was this new sword, which consists of 6 different swords where they get assembled into one big, (yes, again) oversized sword. So, i was wondering: how did all those swords fit in? Did he use all of those swordS? how was it exactly assembled from 6 into 1?

the answer:

http://www.ff7acmovie.com/articles/ff7ac_reviews_and_analyses/cloud's_6_piece_sword_in_ff7ac.html TARGET="_blank"

Amazing eh? the creativity of someone to come up wt such an innovative element in the movie..

enjoy the article :)

Hahz. just hope AUSSIE ppl are intellectually challenged as well...

anyway, i stumbled upon this page...

How to Destroy Earth

This site contains relevant and logical methods that can actually have the potential to destroy earth ( WTFBBQ ???)..

Yeap yeap o_O. but most methods require long-term planing. So i suggest if you plan to destroy Earth, you start now =)

Anyway among all...
This is my favourite =) it gave me a laugh at the same time something to wonder about..hmmm.....

This happens to be a more less scientific method for planetary destruction.

Destroyed by God
You will need: God.
Method: Far be it from me to dictate whether God does or does not exist, but if he did, and was omnipotent, then no doubt he could destroy the Earth at a mere thought if he should decide to. Of course, the question arises of how we persuade him to do this.

One suggestion - should Judaic mythology turn out to be correct - is finding and killing one or more of the Lamed Vav Tzadikim, 36 righteous men whose role in life is to justify the purpose of mankind in the eyes of God. If even one of these is missing, it is said the world would come to an end. Practically speaking, it would probably be easier to wipe out humanity than to find one these individuals, who do not themselves know who they are.

Comments: It is of course entirely possible that the means God would choose to use to destroy the Earth would be a natural, non-miraculous event such as one of those listed above.

Earth's final resting place: potentially any form, anywhere.

hmmmm........

"A Nobody's Effort"

"A Nobody's Effort"

Today proves to be the end of IT paper. Damn that thing was friggin tough.

Algorithms. Post-tests. Pre-tests. Development Cycle. Analysis. Development. Design. Networking. Peer-to-peer. Client-server. Database. Management. SDLC. DBMS. HTTP. HTML. FTP. IP. WTF.

Well, the thing is over. Over it is, i will no more think about it :)

Anyways, something ran across my mind;

06something hours,

Me: Damn la, scared for IT paper. Nervous. I think Huan Miao gonna laugh the minute he lays his eyes on the paper. He so freaking smart...confirm A20 la..shit la..pressure pressure....summore he in same exam hall as me :S :S o_O

Kwee: Hahz...it's not that la. It's not whether somebody is smart la. Huan Miao studies alot, works alot..he puts in alot of work. It's all about the effort... (At the same time everybody at the table and stares at him) -.-;

Me: yealor..

Later @ around 1600 hours:

Us group of friends were in 1u at that time, and was about to go home...anyways..as i was on the way home, i met Joe and his gf ShuWen. So...

Me: Hey, ShuWen ar..this Friday right..you and ur friends coming to 1u?

Shu Wen: You mean ************************ (sry..personal stuff :P ) If you really want ***** (personal stuff), i won't tell you. You find out yourself. (I recalled it something like that. The statement might be inaccurate, but it meant something like that..haha).

Me: hehehe...i see..will do :)

I'm beginning to feel that it's no wonder things never have a happy ending for me. I don't put enough effort. I'm more of a passive person. More of a defensive type. I do not really work on things i do.

Sometimes, things just don't go my way. Yea, i know..things are NOT meant to go the way as we planned it. However, it CAN be done. Things can be changed. Just that the effort must be present.

That's something i really lack.

I'm always broken.

Stuck.

Getting nowhere.

Alone.

Pls refer to the sidebar, and look under 'Ease the Ears' section. The select "City Harvest - Cry" and click on 'Play' :)

Are you ready to learn a new song this afternoon? (Hallelujah)

Lift your hands towards heaven.

Hallelujah, this is welcome to the presece of God here in this place.

Jesus, we honour you.
Oh we honour you, Lord.

We come to honour, you Lord.

Lost in you alone,
is where i want to be,
to hear your voice.

Softly in your ears,
you whisper words to me,
that i am yours.

Can't live a day,
without your presence,
closer to you i wanna be,

My soul cries out,
for more of you my Lord.
My portion and all.

I close my eyes and feel you near

There's nobody else,
that can take your place in my heart.
sing from the beginning, Lost in you alone...

"New stuff. Good stuff. Enjoy :)"

Greetings, reader(s).

Haha i finally got this stand-alone version of a song that i've always been looking for. now i've got it, finally. Many thanx to a special horizontally-challenged old friend of mine :) If you (the horizontally-challenged old friend) happen to read this, thank you :)

Haha...the song is In Christ Alone by Stuart Townend.
It's a very beautifully written song and I suggest you have a hear at it. I manage to upload here, so just select the song and patiently wait for it to download till completion :)

The other version, which can only be heard by going through a link (very mar fan) is sang differently, but nevertheless written by the same person; Stuart Townend. Still very nice :) and meaningful.

The link (if you're too lazy to scroll down to see the links o_O)

Worshipping Together: A Soldier's Inspiration

Yes. Worshipping together; through a soldier's inspiration.

The true uplifting story of an American soldier stationed in Iraq who daily finds spiritual hope in the modern anthem "In Christ Alone".

I'd write the summary of the full story behind the song, but i think it be better of it be read fully :)

Here's the link

The Song Story: "In Christ Alone"

Enjoy :)

It's late now. Gotta get to bed.

Cheers :)

"Ghee at 5-Eighty-Two"

Today Joe and I decided to pay GheeJune (God of Accounts) a visit in the hospital. Ghee has been admitted into SJMC (Subang Jaya Medical Centre) with diagnosed for appendicitis (An inflammation of the appendix. Patients with appendicitis often present with pain in the right lower abdomen. Pain may be vague at first. Treatment is involves the removal of the appendix by a surgeon.)

It seems like his stomache problem finally gave in. Back then during the college days Ghee would normally complain about his stomache not feeling so good or comfortable or even suffer gastric-like stomache pain.

Oh well, as i was saying, Joe and I decided to pay the God of Accounts a visit in the hospital. It was a Saturday evening, and Saturday evenings normally means Saturday evening church service :)

So, Joe suggested after the visit, we pay another visit.....but to his churcH! haha i finally got the chance to go to Joe's church. Anyways, as we were planning to visit Ghee, we decided to get John to come along with us, coz we always pity the poor Singaporean fella who has nothing to do at home. haha...ended up we also got Shearen to tag along.

So we headed for SJMC. Joe got Ghee a card and some Famous Amos' cookies as a gift to the God of Accounts. We shared the cost of the card + cookies. zZzZzZ...18bux altogether..making it 4.50 each...Haha.

Joe said Ghee was in the 5th floor, room 582. So we headed there. Duh.

So we walk, walk, walk and walk.......and ...

Room 582!

We enter room five-eighty-two...and...

Ghee! Damn he doesn't look so healthy.

Damn. Ghee looked small and sickly man. He doesn't look so healthy either. And it seems like he lost some weight too. He looked extra skinny summore. Anyways..on with the diagnosis.......

According to Ghee, as mentioned, his stomache problem finally gave in. It blew up, literally. Apparently his appendix (A hollow, worm-shaped structure that attaches to the first section of the large intestine (cecum). Its function is unknown.) really, literally...and i mean it...blew up. and he managed to hold it in for quite some time (?). Wow..strong little fella. Actually im not very sure what caused it either.....i mean.....

he doesn't jump around like a monkey after he's eaten. Or run around like a restless kid after makan. Right?

In conclusion, Ghee will be staying in SJMC for quite awhile. He won't be sitting for his ESL finals paper on Monday. What a waste. For someone so smart like him, he's not able to take his paper. zZzZ..but worry not, Ghee said the ppl at SSABSA/SAM board lecturers will give him some moderation marks or something based off his internal marks and overall stuff.

At least he won't be missing ACCOUNTS. HAHA...Ms. Susan Ong will be so so so so so dissapointed!! HAHA...he'll be back on his feet by Maths paper. Somebody pls inform Ms. Susan Ong about his condition. HAHA....

Oh yea...

Ghee's tag on his left wrist. Can you see his name?

The culprit.

After the visit, we left for Joe's church @ DUMC. Had to drop Shearen off home first.

No wonder Joe and John loved going to their churches. It's so lively! They got nice music and the band. Whoa..nice man! and the church i go to... um...just simple piano + choir? Haiyo i dare not say anything la..

Maybe it's a different type of Christianity? Y'know..like Catholics, Methodists...etc etc....i durno all these stuff. I'll leave it for Joe/John/Patrick to explain to me next time. ZzZz...

After the evenig church service we head for Murni @ SS2.

IT WAS CLOSED! haiyo! wasted man..John and I craved for mamak food @ Murni so much. So, Joe suggested Williams @ Mayang. John has never tried Williams before, so what the heck....

CLOSED ALSO!! Haiyo....i forgot still got the Hari Raya break man. Wasted..so in the end, in the midst of finding fine mamak food, we ended up eating in some coffee shop near Williams - "Kai Fatt" HAHA...

After dinner = headed straight for home.

Showered, did abit of Maths, now i'm here.

"Astronaut, Cosmonaut, Canonaut? (Can or Not)"

Time for some economics.

Fact of the day: Do you know that Malaysian cars happen to be the most expensive in the world?

Well know you do.

Imagine this:

American ppl pay US 1.50 for a cup of coffee. For example...

Us Malaysian also pay RM 1.50 for a cup of coffee.

This shows that regardless the exchange rate of cash, our cost of living is around or at least roughly the same. Our standard of living are of equal.

NOW, picture this...

In US, BMW's are sold for just at least US 30,000 - 50,000.

In Malaysia, BMW's are sold for RM 300,000 - 500,000.

Holy geez, thats like 1000% different. Now, now, don't tell me about the exchange rates and all. Wait, even if it is, it's still kinda dirt cheap right?

US 30,000-50,000 x 4 (actually 3.XX rounded up to 4)
= RM 120,000-200,000

Wow, it's still kinda affordable at our standards.
Now, now..remember the first statement?

American ppl pay US 1.50 for a cup of coffee. For example...

Us Malaysian also pay RM 1.50 for a cup of coffee.

Ignoring the exchange rate and comparing our standard of living, i hope you see why cars are outrageously expensive in Malaysia.

Do you know why?

Proton. Perodua.

Malaysian made cars can't compete with German/Japanese automobile engineering technology.

Well, duh!

So in order to give in some form of competition, Malaysian government have decided.....to increase tariffs (tax on imports) like MAD. That's why you see 6-7 digit number price tags on BMW's or wtv German cars u see in the Malaysian market.

Tariff protection? Hmm....

Tariff protections are normally implemented to give infant industries a fair shot at the cruel real world of economy.

BUT 25 YEARS??

MORONS.

25 years of continued govt. protection. Now that's kinda long man. About time these ppl grew up.

Notice something?

How the generation of Proton/Perodua cars match up?

Especially the Proton Saga/Wira SERIES??

Man, they even have several version of those crappy tin cans.
As each new car gets into the market, their differences are minor, not really much of a change.

That's why Proton/Perodua suck.

Proton was found in the 1980's, and was suppose to symbolise Malaysia's rapid industrialisation and aspirations to first-world status. Dr. Mahathir back then had such high hopes for Proton.

Guess what. Hatinya and idamannya berkecai. Rupa-rupanya Proton akhirnya SUCK sekali. Adui...

Reacting to this, even several board members of Proton decided to threaten to resign. People gave up, but Dr.Mahathir didn't gave in.

In so, Dr.Mahathir protected his baby industry (Proton is allowed to be called an infant industry at that time of the year) with import duties of 30-400%. Wow. This definitely had to keep Proton alive. Well, it did. At least alive. But NOT competitive. The huge imposed tariffs allowed Proton to survive in the long run. But during the long term, Proton did not very well improve. Did not innovate. Did not get creative.

I am of the persuasion that competition is good for all companies. My base reference is in watching babies grow. Beyond infant industry protection status, which should have ended 25 years ago, Proton should have been exposed to competition on an increasing scale.

Today, I believe that such an environment would have yielded a class company capable of global sales. Look at the Koreans, whose own auto industry started in earnest 10 years after Proton. Now, the production is on such a scale that the cost per car is so low that when sold to other countries, they cry "Foul! The Koreans must be dumping! Call the WTO!"

Lamers.

In addition to Malaysians staying under protection mad tariffs, these even more have the multiplier effect on Malaysian car dealers attitude.

Malaysian car dealers are never afraid of losing their customers.

Why?

The price of Proton is far cheaper than foreign cars. For that we do not have choice if we don't have money to afford German technology.

And the fact that the government is spoon feeding too much on local car makers. Giving taxes lots of names just to make Proton cheaper.

Then Proton will never think of Quality, so as Customer Service Quality, cos they are the big winner on the price. They will never grow and compete with the foreigners. They will always SUCK if this continues.

They have guaranteed markets locally with the helps of "EXCISE" from the government. They are the big winners locally. And also big loser globally. They don't understand what globalization is.

Proton talk big - overpromise and underdeliver.

Hopes that this little story from a little citizen of Malaysia, goes out as an advise to the public. If you have enough money, don't buy local made cars.

Drive them out. It's good for the country's name. We are better off increasing our country's GDP by producing Milo tin cans and Maggi Mee's.

Imagine Malaysia without Proton/Perodua. There would be no use of imposing tariffs.

As you see Proton Saga's/Wira's, you see Vios/Civic/City's.
As you see Vios/Civic/City's now, you'll see BMW/Mercedes/Lexus.
As often as you see BMW/Mercedes/Lexus, you'll see Bentley/Rolls Royce/Maybach.

Yes, our country could be filled with all these nice cars.

Russia - Cosmonaut
America - Astronaut
Malaysia - CANONAUT (Can or Not)
